Kyle Howard And Lauren Not Engaged?

Kyle Howard and Lauren Conrad are not engaged, reported lauren's representative. This report came contrary to the internet news of the long time couple Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard engagement. The couple have always been very secretive about their affair, but as it is said, love cannot be hidden and it was soon the hot news.
Kyle Howard and Lauren Conrad have been dating since August 2008 and had kept their affair a secret from the media and even their friends. They still are very much in the relationship and maybe this is one of the reasons for their successful long term relationship.

Sources, however, deny to accept that Kyle Howard and Lauren Conrad are not engaged. According to them the news is being hidden by Lauren for her upcoming reality show in MTV. She wants to hide it from the producers and so, the couple is not disclosing the it. Taking in account their secretive behaviour, this speculation cannot be ignored.

American actress Sissy Spacek loves her Oscar so much that she sleeps next to it.
The 61-year-old film star showed Oprah Winfrey a hilarious photo of herself curled up with the Academy Award.
“I’m rarely without it. I take it everywhere with me,” she joked.
Spacek, who won the 1980 Best Actress Oscar for her role in Coal Miner’s Daughter, appeared on Winfrey’s chat show alongside fellow Oscar winners Susan Sarandon, 64, and Holly Hunter, 52.
The trio laughed about how, back in the day, they had to buy their own dresses for the prestigious ceremony – whereas today’s actresses are loaned fancy frocks by top designers.
“We didn’t even know to ask. We just went out there and bought a dress off the rack. It was actually less pressure,” Spacek said.
“I’m not somebody who’s used to getting dressed up to begin with. No one at that time gave me a dress or anything,” added Sarandon, who won the 1995 Oscar for her role in Dead Man Walking.
“A good friend of mine – a costume guy – gave me a little fur to put over my dress, which I barely could buy. It had to go back that night on a plane. I didn’t even get to keep it that evening.”
Hunter, who won an Oscar in 1993 for her role in The Piano, described attending the awards ceremony as an “out-of-body” experience.
“It’s hard to kind of remember things,” she told Winfrey. “The artifice of it – the fact that it’s a show – that was kind of stunning to me.”
The 83rd Academy Awards will take place in Hollywood, California, on 27 February.

Emma Roberts: Sally Isn't A Mean Girl

Emma Roberts is all smiles as she and little sister Grace do a little retail therapy at Fred Segal on Saturday afternoon (January 29).

But the 19-year-old actress insists her Homework character Sally isn’t the typical popular-mean girl that you see in other movies. She shared with MTV, “What I loved about her is on paper, she could very much be the cliche of the popular girl. But the way she’s written, and the way I tried to play her, was that there’s more to her than that.”

Emma added, “I hate in teen movies when someone’s categorized as ‘You’re this, not that.’ [Sally] kind of had that edge to her, but she was also really genuine.”

And what about her scenes with Freddie Highmore? “I felt bad [when Sally was kind of mean towards him]. Freddie and I had really good off-camera banter—we had good chemistry, as they say,” she said.

Billy Madisonstarred Adam Sandler, Bridgette Wilson, Darren McGavin, Bradley Whitford and Josh Mostel. For Adam Sandler fans only, this dopey comedy features the former Saturday Night Live star as an over indulged rich guy whose father insists he repeat grades 1 through 12 before taking over the family business.
The scenario is perfect for Sandler’s infantile leanings (which he has fortunately outgrown in more recent movies), and for the most part the jokes about being too old and too big for the experiment are obvious.
Chris Farley and Steve Buscemi turn up in uncredited cameo appearances, but otherwise the film is pretty dismissible, except for those diehard’s who can’t get enough of Sandler.
The film earned poor reviews upon release, with the Los Angeles Times stating ” “Sandler has a bad habit of thinking he is funnier than we do”. In At the Movies, Siskel and Ebert gave the film a bad review, and said of Sandler “Not an attractive screen presence, he might have a career as a villain or a fall guy or the butt of a joke, but as the protagonist his problem is he creates the fingernails on the blackboard”.

Timothy Bradley eyes Amir Khan after Alexander win

Timothy Bradley could face Britain's Amir Khan in a fight to unify the light-welterweight division after beating Devon Alexander in Michigan.
Bradley, the WBO champion, defeated WBC holder Alexander on points after the 12-round contest was stopped in the 10th following an accidental headbutt.
The previously undefeated Alexander, who was unable to continue, said: "I couldn't see. He's got a tough head."
Bradley confirmed: "Khan is probably number one on the list."
Bolton fighter Khan, who holds the WBA belt, announced after wrapping up a unanimous points victory over Marcos Maidana in December that he wanted to unify the division, talking up a fight with the winner of Bradley v Alexander.
And the 24-year-old is now likely to get his wish and face Bradley, who was ahead 98-93, 97-93 and 96-95 on the cards when the bout was halted.
The first highly anticipated fight of 2011 failed to explode into life, with southpaw Alexander attempting to control the contest from a distance with his jab while the shorter Bradley stalked the ring landing occasional rights.
A Bradley right rocked Alexander in the third round, as did several others in the ninth, but Bradley's substantial lead was largely down to occasional flurries.
And ultimately it was Bradley's head that did most damage. The two men clashed heads in the third and again in the 10th, both ruled accidental by referee Frank Garza, who felt it necessary for Alexander to return to his corner on the second occasion.
The doctor was then called over and he called a halt to proceedings after ruling that Alexander could not keep his left eye open.
Unbeaten Bradley, who has recorded 11 knockout victories in his 27 wins, refused to apologise for leading with his head, and said: "I'm ruthless. I'm reckless.
"If that's the best in the world, that's weak. I did not want the fight to end that way. I really wanted to finish the fight."
The 27-year-old then turned his thoughts to his next challenge, with Philippine sensation Manny Pacquiao and fellow American Floyd Mayweather Jr also on his radar.
"I would love a chance with Floyd Mayweather," Bradley said. "I think I've got to take Amir Khan out next, then there will be no doubt who the best 140-pounder is in the world.
"But the key name on the list down the road is Manny Pacquiao."

The Season 10 premiere of"American Idol" is less than a week away and to make the days go by a bit faster, Zap2it decided to take a stroll down memory lane and re-evaluate the previous nine seasons.

Each day leading up to the premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 19, we will post a retrospective on each season. We're breaking it down into four categories: Best Performance, Worst Performance, Most Underrated Idol and most Overrated Idol. At the end, we will decide how the season stacks up against the rest, rating it as great, good, or not-so-good.

We've looked back at Season 1 (yay Kelly!), Season 2 (aww, Clay and Ruben!), the black hole that was Season 3, one of our favorite Top 2 in Season 4, and Soul Patrol-ed Season 5. Yesterday, we took a look back at beatboxin' Season 6 and now, it's time to revisit The Battle of the Davids that was Season 7.

Tracy Morgan Sarah Palin Remark Causes Controversy

TNT has an issued an apology for Tracy Morgan’s crude remark about Sarah Palin, E! News reports. During a live broadcast of Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley and Tracy were discussing who is hotter: Tina Fey or Sarah Palin (my vote’s for Tina). Charles said, ”Sarah Palin’s good looking, isn’t she?”

To which Tracy responded: ”Let me tell you something about Sarah Palin—she’s good masturbation material.”

The cable network issued the following statement: “It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan showed a lack of judgment on our air with his inappropriate comments.” Tracy did not comment any further on the matter.

Was Tracy’s remark going too far – or are people being oversensitive? Here’s why I’m conflicted: I think it’s absolutely absurd to treat female politicians as sex objects. As a governor or Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin deserves to be treated like any other man in her position, whether or not you agree with her politics. You might remember Sarah’s leggy Newsweek Magazine cover, which was ridiculous and offensive. You didn’t see John McCain being photographed like that!

But now, Sarah has chosen a reality career over being governor – and thus is on the same level as the Kardashian sisters. Would it have been okay for Tracy to make the same remark about Kim Kardashian? That’s a tougher call, isn’t it?

The one thing I don’t really get is what any of this had to do with basketball…

Geri Jewell from 'Facts of Life,' comes out as a lesbian, talks about acting with cerebral palsy

By Banzay on 19:22

The woman who played Cousin Geri on "The Facts of Life" is addressing the many complications in her quest to becoming an actor in her upcoming memoir.

Geri Jewell's "I'm Walking As Straight As I Can: Transcending Disability in Hollywood and Beyond" finds the actress openly discussing her cerebral palsy, her status as the first person with a disability to have a recurring role on a prime-time TV series and admitting that she's a lesbian.
Broadway World reports that the book, due April 1, follows Jewell's beginnings in stand-up comedy to her work on television. She explores her many trials -- including backstabbing agents, tax issues, addiction, an unsuccessful marriage and a tragic accident -- that brought her to a place where she feels comfortable telling her story.

We think there's a happy ending, though. Fans of "Deadwood" recognize Jewell from her professional resurgence on the series. Co-star Ian McShane provides a nice blurb for the book jacket, which sort of warms our heart.

Sheen parents "very concerned" over star

Charlie Sheen's father Martin and mother Janet Templeton have reportedly expressed their worry over the actor's current state.

The star was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles earlier today, where he is still in an unknown condition after suffering "severe abdominal pains".

Sheen's parents "are very concerned" about his progress, a source told People.

His rep Stan Rosenfield has refused to respond to TMZ's claim that Sheen's hospitalisation is the cause of a 36-hour bender which included drug-taking from a "briefcase full of cocaine".

Rosenfield told the website: "I can't comment because I have no idea if it's true. You choose to believe your source. I don't."

CBS entertainment president Nina Tassler confessed earlier this month that the network has a "high level of concern" about the Two and a Half Men actor's well-being.

Adrianne Palicki's Killer Role

By Banzay on 22:26

comm. (0)

Adrianne Palicki found a cathartic way to get revenge on those responsible for canceling her critically acclaimed series Lone Star earlier this season — by imagining that they were her victims in her turn as a serial killer on Criminal Minds.

"How did you know?" she laughs, jokingly adding, "Those bastards!"

Palicki, the tall beauty best known for her role as tough but heartfelt Tyra on Friday Night Lights, will play what she calls a "psychopath" on tonight's episode of Criminal Minds (9/8c, CBS). "She comes from a very dark past," Palicki explains. "She was abused by her father — sexually and emotionally. She met a person she feels is her equal, and they go on a killing spree. It's kind of like Natural Born Killers."

Still, she adds, "It's one thing to play a killer, but to go into that darkness where she doesn't see what she's doing is wrong — it's scary, but fun."

Less fun was the quick cancellation of Lone Star. "It was a smack in the face," she says. "It's like being with someone who tells you, 'I want to marry you,' and the next day, they're moving out."

Though Tyra left FNL to attend college, Palicki appears in the series' finale, airing this spring on NBC. "It was so therapeutic" to return for the show's conclusion, she says. "I'd already ended the show. I was excited to move on, but when I'd watch it as a fan, it was that feeling you get when you've graduated high school and all your friends are still there: I'm missing out on everything."

Jimmy Buffett out of the hospital, 'doing well' after fall

Jimmy Buffett, who was hospitalized Wednesday after falling off the stage at the end of a concert in Sydney, Australia, is out of the hospital and "doing well."

"As you probably already know, Jimmy had an accident while performing in Sydney last night and was taken to the hospital," read the original message posted early Wednesday, Pacific time, on the singer's website. "The doctors say he is doing well and will be released tomorrow. More info as we get it, and thank you for all of your well-wishes!"

The site was just updated with the news that Buffett had been released (as this post is published, it's late Thursday morning in Sydney).

Buffett, 64, walked off the front of the stage and fell face first Wednesday night after an encore performance of "Lovely Cruise."

He was reportedly bleeding and unconscious for about 10 minutes, with security and staff at his side until paramedics arrived, said the Sydney Morning Herald, which had video of the fall and the announcement afterward saying the show was over. Results of a CAT scan were normal, TMZ said.

Buffett had performed Sunday and Monday to sold-out crowds at Sydney's Opera House before moving Wednesday to the Hordern Pavilion for a show tacked on in response to demand.

As a commenter noted on the Ministry's earlier post about the "Margaritaville" singer's fall, "Maybe he blew out a flip-flop." Now that we know he's doing well, that's a pretty funny line.

Before he met her, Troy Aikman dated stars like Sandra Bullock, but the former Rhonda Worthey captured the former pro football player’s heart. They had two kids together, but now comes the sad news that Troy and Rhonda Aikman are divorcing. Here’s more about Rhonda Aikman, Rhonda Aikman pictures, and why she and Troy Aikman are splitting up.

Rhonda Aikman was a publicist when she met Troy Aikman. She was previously married and had a daughter from that marriage.

Neither Rhonda Aikman nor Troy Aikman have said why they are splitting, but it had to be hard on the family with Troy on the road part of the year, first playing football and more recently as a commentator. There have been no allegations of infidelity, but apparently Rhonda Aikman initiated the split. She bought a new house in November.

Joe Biden's America versus lack of civic responsibility in Nigeria, Africa and Arab world.

By Banzay on 01:30

The vice President of the United States Joe Biden reported a few hours ago today (Monday morning January 24, 2011) for jury duty alongside almost 100 other Americans of different races, economic scales and stations in life at the New Castle County courthouse in his home state of Delaware.

For those, especially in my recent immigrant community of Nigerians/Africans who simply wonder why a "whole" sitting vice President made time to attend to the basic assignment of jury duty, the well-spoken former senator said it best: "I don't consider myself different than any other person. This is important ... It is an honor to be a part of the system" - he is quoted as having told The News Journal of Wilmington, Delaware.

In respect of these issues, I will make five quick points:

One, forgive my sheer audacity to ask: can you imagine a Vice President or President of Nigeria, Africa, the Arab/Persian world and the "third world" countries standing in line and taking basic, legal instructions and routine citizenship roles of law and order and civic dedication at the level of jury duty....

Two, even with different judicial methods of law and order, for most of Nigeria, Africa, the Arab/Persian world and the "third world" countries, the processes of law and order are held in severe contempt by many leaders; as judicial orders are flouted, bought or sold or coerced!

Three, I bear witness to the knowledge that democracy and civic development is not only about voting but the learned and lived patterns of civilized conduct. The government of the U.S did not move, wholesale and in toto, to the historic courthouse

of New Castle county because the U.S Vice President came, like any other citizen, to fulfill a civic duty. No.

Four, in another sense, it is understandable because the U.S government takes care of and defends its citizens anywhere in the world! On the other hand, how many Nigerians were wasted in Odi, Jos, Johannesburg, Tripoli, Baghdad, and in the city I was born, Aba, the once great Enyimba city and few are truly held responsible? How many Kenyans were slaughtered in the ethnic war called elections almost 18months ago? Who will protect the every day Ivorian?

Fifth, I am compelled to ask a rather harsh question of the lying and thiefing toads who rule and ruin various parts of Nigeria, the Arab/Persian regions and the rest of the developing world: when will you learn the successful civic habits of American and European societies where you deposit your financial loot, import the most exotic cars and expensive artifices and hedonistic indulgences you can only enjoy behind your barricaded fences called homes? You buy and fly into Nigeria, Riyahd, Dubai, Johannesburg and elsewhere the car of impression called the Maybach Exelero, the exotic Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead coupe, the Bentley Azure and Flying Spur all fit for the maintained roads of modern cities but you remain unable to enjoy a decent drive in those marvels of automobile engineering in your own countries. Imagine driving the Maybach Exelero from Ojota to Onicha, from Minna to Maiduguri, or from Ujari to Ubiaja? Again, imagine how many kidnappers and potholes and gulleys and....

Anyway, while some leaders focus on buying cars and toys, others look at building effective institutions.

Accordingly, I bear witness in deep respect of the iron-clad dedication and abiding civic sense of duty by an overwhelming number of Americans who daily, every minute, make this system work to the best possible interests (amidst imperfections and biases) of an overwhelming number of its citizens and non-citizens; like in no other country.

I bear witness that only in America will a young man like me, who after only 28months of coming here to the U.S as a youth of very modest beginnings and limited resources fly the flag of USAfrica multimedia networks from Houston, Texas, and the entire word takes responsible notice and respects and rewards our efforts, signally and substantially.

It has been confirmed that Troy and Rhonda Aikman are divorcing.
Troy issued an announcement that said “This has been a difficult decision for Rhonda and me, but after 10 years of marriage we have decided to separate. We remain deeply committed to our children.”
Since they have been married for over 10 years, so no one thought they would ever split up after such a long time.
Themommyologist of strollerderby comments: It looks like Troy Aikman’s divorce has been in the works for months. Rhonda supposedlypurchased her own home in North Dallas back in November
Pigskinlovinglady tells us: The chatter began whenshe didn’t accompany him to the annual Aikman party
LongIslandPress says: Aikman is a former Dallas Cowboys quarterback who was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006 and into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
Well, between Rhonda not appearing at the Aikman annual party and buying a separate 5-bedroom house in Dallas in November of 2009, the writing was on the wall.
Troy and Rhonda Aikman have two children together and it looks like they are going to make it as easy on the children as they think possible.

Paul Ryan vs. Michele Bachmann: The Battle for the State of the Union Response

State of the Union responses are typically doomed to obscurity, or worse.

At best, they are unremembered. At worse, they can backfire on the deliverer. (Who can forget Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's response -- which may have derailed a possible 2012 presidential bid.)

As such, one wonders about the wisdom of assigning the role to another conservative "rising star" -- the boyish and wonkish House Budget Committee Chair, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.). After all, no matter who gives a response, the speaker faces huge structural challenges: The deliverer must compete with the pageantry and spectacle of the president of the United States. And by definition, the responder is playing "defense."

As the Daily Caller's Mary Katharine Ham aptly put it,
Tonight the President of the United States of America will stride into a joint session of Congress to thunderous, bipartisan applause and take to the lofty dais from which he will deliver an address filled with goals, inspiration, conviction and occasional poetry to a waiting nation.

Then there's the other guy.
. . . And then there's the other gal.

Not only must Ryan battle history and a highly unfavorable milieu, he has another challenge: Rep. Michele Bachmann -- who will be delivering a tea party response.
Those who argue that more voices are better are mistaken. More voices can cloud a coherent message -- a point especially true considering the inherent obstacles Ryan already faces.

And let's be honest -- suppose Ryan delivers a smart and coherent rebuke of Obama's speech (an outcome that is not unlikely) but Bachmann says something controversial. Who do you think will get the most media attention? It is very likely Bachmann could step on Ryan's response.

I would be more favorable toward Bachmann's plans if the official GOP response were being delivered by a moderate -- or by someone incapable of effectively making the conservative case. This is clearly not the case. (Note: In the past, I have criticized Ryan's voting record, but his ability to articulate a persuasive conservative message is indisputable.)

Ultimately, the Ryan vs. Bachmann narrative is just a microcosm of a larger divide within the GOP. Interestingly, this schism recently became evident when Bachmann briefly challenged solid conservative Rep. Jeb Hensarling for GOP Conference Chair (I argued conservatives should back Hensarling).

This is a new development and, frankly, I'm not terribly comfortable with it. In the past, there was a battle between real conservatives and RINOs (Republicans in name only). I was happily on the side of the conservatives. Today, however, it seems there is another split within that movement. You could look at it as a split between grassroots conservatives and the "ruling class." Another way of looking at it, however, is between credible, competent conservatives and their less serious counterparts.
