Jimmy Sullivan, "the Rev," dead at 28; Tylenol recall; and the 'underwear bomber' is now farouk1986

Your day according to Google: It is going to be a rock and roll day for sure: seven of the top 10 hot searches this morning are related to the death of drummer Jimmy Sullivan, "the Rev" of rock for heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. Never heard of A7X? Think Iron Maiden meets Guns N Roses during Slayer's set at OzzFest. No solid news yet on the cause of the 28-year-old's death.

And if those few opening lines of today's Cup O' Google don't have you already clicking over to iTunes to look up some kick ass rock of yore, consider this nugget: Van Morrison, at age 64, became a daddy for the third time when his wife GiGi gave birth yesterday to George Ivan Morrison III.

The remainder of the top ten searches were no less alarming - Erik Gates of TV's Mythbusters show fell through a skylight on a rooftop and plunged 30 feet to his death, and the Food and Drug Administration recalled Tylenol Arthritis Pain Caplets with the EZ Open Cap (100 count) after some consumers complained of a musty, moldy smell and reported nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea. For the full list of recalled lot numbers, click here.

Flipping to the second page of the top 20, things seem no less bleak. Any list with the words "Frank Gifford" can't be good, but thankfully, it seems to be one of those weird Internet blips not associated with any actual news about the sportscaster and KLG sidekick. The same isn't true of actor Charlie Sheen and his wife Brooke, who had quite the eventful Christmas in Aspen. New details are emerging about his arrest that morning on domestic violence charges, with the AP quoting from an arrest warrant affidavit in which Brooke Mueller Sheen says her husband straddled her on a bed, held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. The fracas started when she allegedly told him she wanted a divorce.

And rounding out this weird morning is a new and easy-to-remember nickname for Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian known in most circles as the "underwear bomber" for trying to ignite his crotch filled with PETN explosives during a flight from Amsterdam to Detroit: his Internet moniker is farouk1986. We still prefer "underwear bomber."

If there is any dim sparkle of decent news on the top 20 list this morning, it's the announcement that GM is holding a fire sale on discontinued cars like Saturns and Pontiacs. Yes, it's a stretch, but if you're truly needy for new wheels and are desperate enough to consider a Saturn, discounts can be as deep as 46 percent. The offer expires on Jan. 4.

Forensics: Unpublished 1950s photo appears to show John F. Kennedy on yacht with naked women

Throughout his presidency and his marriage to Jackie Kennedy, JFK was known as a playboy.

But stories about his swinging lifestyle, including his alleged affair with Marilyn Monroe, have mostly been hearsay.

Four decades after his death, TMZ has obtained a photograph that forensic experts suggest may prove President John F. Kennedy's libidinous appetite.

The never-before published black-and-white photograph, which TMZ believes was taken in the mid-1950s, shows a man who appears to be Kennedy lying in the sun below the boat's top deck. Above him, two naked women sun themselves while another couple of nude ladies jump off the boat.

Multiple experts who examined a scan of the original print concluded that the photo appeared authentic. TMZ reports that no evidence of Photoshopping was found after the experts studied the image for inconsistent lighting, photo composition and other forms of manipulation.

Forensic photo expert Prof. Jeff Sedlick told TMZ that the actual print appears authentic as well. He says the paper on which the photo is printed appears consistent with the brands used in the '50s. The print's emulsion includes cracks that seem to have developed over time.

Sedlick also superimposed on the photo an image of Kennedy taken at the Democratic National Convention in August 1956. Taken just days before he embarked on his Mediterranean cruise, the convention photo's features match those of the new yacht image, Sedlick says.

Two Kennedy biographers have also told TMZ that after examining the image, they believe the man to be JFK.

Although the photo's original owner has not been revealed, the image was eventually given to a man who owned an East Coast car dealership. TMZ reports that the man kept the photo in a drawer and would take it out to brag to friends. After the man died a decade ago, his sons inherited the photo.

Several books and articles have reported that in August 1956, Kennedy spent two weeks on a boating trip in the Mediterranean. A senator at the time, Kennedy was vacationing with his brother Ted Kennedy and Sen. George Smathers. The three men allegedly invited a number of women on the yacht.

Meanwhile, a pregnant Jackie Kennedy was rushed to hospital and underwent an emergency Caesarean section. Unfortunately, the baby was stillborn.

If the photo had emerged when Kennedy ran for President in 1960, his image as a wholesome family man would have been destroyed and his chances to run America probably would have vanished with it.

Percy Sutton, civil rights activist, attorney and NY political figure dies at 89

He was the son of a slave, a mentor to Rev. Jesse Jackson, lawyer for Malcolm X and prominent figure in New York politics and a fixture in the Harlem community, Percy Sutton died late last night at the age of 89, his longtime friend Governor David A. Paterson said late last night.
After serving in World War II and Korea as one of the Tuskegee Airmen Sutton, the youngest of 15 children opened a law office on 125th Street in Harlem, where he'd spend decades representing Malcolm X and later the slain leader's family, as well as taking on many prominent civil rights cases.
Sutton would go on to serve a long career in politics, representing the neighborhood as a member of the New York State Assembly. In 1966 Sutton was appointed to fill a vacancy in the office of Manhattan Borough President, making him the highest-ranking black politician in the state. He later mounted unsuccessful campaigns for the United States Senate and New York City Mayor, and served as political mentor for Rev. Jesse Jackson's two presidential races.
Jackson often referred to Sutton as "The Godfather."
David N. Dinkins, the city's first black mayor said, "I stand on the shoulders of Percy Sutton."
Paterson referred to Sutton as “A trailblazer, one of New York’s and this nation’s most influential African-American leaders – a man whom I am proud to have called a friend and mentor throughout my entire career.
"It was Percy Sutton who talked me into running for office and who has continued to serve as one of my most valued advisors ever since," said Paterson. “Percy was fiercely loyal, compassionate and a truly kind soul. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on through the next generations of African-Americans he inspired to pursue and fulfill their own dreams and ambitions."
Sutton would go on to serve as a media mogul, building largest network of black radio stations in the country. At one point Sutton owned a majority holding of The Amsterdam News, the country's second largest African-American weekly newspaper.
"He was a great man," Charles Warfield Jr., the president and chief operating officer of ICBC Broadcast Holdings Inc., told the Associated Press early this morning. He declined to comment further out of respect, he indicated, for the wishes of Sutton's family.
Sutton is also credited with the rebirth of the historic Apollo Theater. In 1981 he spent $250,000 to purchase the then shuttered Apollo Theater. The Apollo turned 70 in 2004, a milestone that was unthinkable until Sutton stepped in to save the landmark.
Rev. Al Sharpton has scheduled a press conference for this afternoon to remember the life of Sutton, who is survived by his daughter, Cheryl, who has declined to speak with the media.
The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Brittany Murphy died on Sunday, December 20th, 2009 in her home. She was 32 years old. Since then, there has been an autopsy performed (see article: Brittany Murphay death more tests to take place so far autopsy results are normal )

Also her funeral is set for Christmas Eve (see article: Brittany Murphy private funeral set on Christmas Eve)

It is odd and sick that when a celebrity dies, people instantly go to google / yahoo / bing etc.. and search for that celebrity death photo.

So people stop searching, at this time the death photo for Brittany Murphy does NOT exist, even if it did, we would not post it because we want to remember her good memories.

This is like searching for Michael Jackson's death photo or Michael Jackson Autopsy photo. Simply does NOT exist! So stop searching for it!

Brittany Murphy's family paid a heart-warming tribute to the actress who passed away on Sunday morning following an alleged cardiac arrest.

The Clueless star collapsed at home in Los Angeles and was pronounced dead in hospital. An autopsy has been carried out but the cause of death is still unknown.

‘Brittany Murphy killed by drugs just like MJ’

A family statement said the 'loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star'.

It added: "We ask you to respect our privacy at this time."

"She was just an absolute doll since she was born," BBC News quoted Murphy's father, Angelo Bertolotti, as saying.

Brittany Murphy’s husband requests no autopsy

"Her personality was always outward. Everybody loved her, people that made movies with her, people on a cruise - they all loved her," he added.

She was rushed to the hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at the Hollywood Hills home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack.

Brittany Murphy autopsy results have yielded no definite cause of death. Preliminary results from the LA coroner have been released, and there are no signs of foul play. The complete results of Brittany Murphy’s autopsy will take several weeks, pending histopathology and toxicology reports.

The actress also was not reported to have been emaciated, or showing other outward signs of malnourishment or anorexia, contrary to some speculation about what the autopsy report of Brittany might show.

Before the autopsy results for Brittany Murphy can be conclusive, it will be necessary to determine what, if any drugs were in her system. When cause of death is unknown, toxicology screening is performed. It is standard to conducts testing for infection and other causes of death, taken from tissue samples.

According to Ed Winter, a spokesman for the LA coroner's office, the autopsy of Brittany Murphy is complete, but a definite cause of death cannot yet be determined.

Brittany Murphy was taking prescription drugs for a medical illness – reportedly flu symptoms when she became increasing more ill, and started vomiting. She was found unconscious in the shower, but paramedics and hospital personnel were unable to revive the 32 year old actress, who has been so far reported to have died from natural causes, as the result of cardiac arrest. Autopsy results for Brittany Murphy will not be conclusive for weeks, but preliminarily, there were no signs of foul play, and no evidence of trauma.

Brittany Murphy Death Hoax Rumors Rampant As Fans Mourn

Considering the number of death hoaxes that float across the Internet and Twitter, it is no wonder that a rumor has started about a Brittany Murphy death hoax. It is quite shocking to see a young, 32-year-old woman die of cardiac arrest, and rare, in fact, so a hoax would not be unheard of, but unfortunately for fans, Brittany Murphy is indeed dead.

These sorts of fake stories, such as Miley Cyrus dying (which is quite popular) or Britney Spears dying (another popular one) are quite common on Twitter or the Internet. In terms of a Brittany Murphy death hoax, it doesn't pan out.

There have been multiple reports of Brittany Murphy's death via major media outlets. There has also been a report from the LA coroner saying that the death appears to be "natural," at least for now. That came via a press conference, so a Brittany Murphy death hoax isn't possible.

Unusually, Brittany Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack, said he didn't want an autopsy. However, the LA Coroner has the right to overrule, and he has in this case. The coroner has indicated that an autopsy will be performed either Monday or Tuesday.

There have been rumors about Brittany Murphy and drug use, and eating disorders fueled by that drug use, for some time. However, Murphy has previously denied any such drug use. Any such allegations are still unfounded. It is, however, strange that Monjack would request no autopsy be done, and that has raised people's suspicions, and further fueled rumors.

While those allegations are perhaps cruel, as are any Brittany Murphy death hoax rumors, there is a strange story emerging from the land of celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. According to NBC News San Diego, a San Diego radio morning show, "AJ in the Morning," interviewed Hilton earlier this month.

While discussing the Michael Jackson death from earlier this year, the host, AJ Machado, asked Hilton if he felt any other celebrities were heading down a path to an early demise, much like Jackson. The answer Perez Hilton gave was eerie: “Brittany Murphy maybe,” Hilton replied.

The final answer to how Brittany Murphy died will not be known until an autopsy is performed. It should be noted that usually a toxicology report will take considerable time, and thus any released information this week will be incomplete, said the LA coroner's office.

Considering the number of death hoaxes that float across the Internet and Twitter, it is no wonder that a rumor has started about a Brittany Murphy death hoax. The cause of 32 year old actress Brittany Murphy dying of cardiac arrest on Sunday morning is still unknown. Cardiac arrest is uncommon in young adults, risks of non-congenital cardiac arrest increase with age. Some of the common causes of cardiac arrest are congenital heart defects, drugs that affect the heart rate, an electric shock or other trauma to the chest.
What is cardiac arrest?
Cardiac arrest is the medical term for a stopped heart muscle. This often occurs due to a problem with the electrical system in the heart, which causes a fatal arrhythmia. Arrhythmia is the term for a change in the heart's rhythm. Changes in the rhythm can throw the heartbeat off, and eventually lead to the heart stopping.
Young adults, such as Brittney Murphy, dying of cardiac arrest
A young adult such as Brittney Murphy, dying at age 32 of cardiac arrest, is unusual. Risk factors of smoking, family history of heart problems, a personal history of heart problems, a lack of exercise, etc. can contribute to the risks of heart failure, but in a young adult the most common explanations are congenital heart problems and substance abuse. According to the American Heart Association, heart abnormalities can be affected by adrenaline, which triggers cardiac arrest after strenuous physical activity or during stressful events. In addition, some medications, including illegal drugs such as cocaine, can cause arrhythmias, which lead to cardiac arrest.

Laura Dekker, the Dutch teen sailor who fought for the right to sail around the world alone, has gone missing.

The 14-year-old appears to have departed from her father's home alone, leaving her beloved boat Guppy untouched.

"We do not believe this is a crime," Utrecht police spokesman Bernhard Jens told The Associated Press by phone on Sunday.

Dekker, with the support of her father sought to become the youngest person to sail around the world alone, but the Utrchect District Court denied her the right in October. She was then put under the supervision of child care authorities.

The young sailor was born on a yacht in New Zealand waters and retains dual Dutch and New Zealand citizenship. Dekker said earlier this year that if Dutch authorities denied her right to sail she might return to New Zealand.

Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant has reported that Dekker withdrew $5000 from her bank account a few days ago.

As a routine measure, Jens said Dutch authorities have told neighboring countries to keep an eye out for Dekker at their respective airports.

"If she is seen somewhere else or tries to leave via an airport or something like that, authorities know we are looking for her," he said. "We are doing everything we can to make sure we can get her back. We are certainly concerned about her health — we are talking about an underage girl."

The New York Post reports that New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards is the father of "America's Next Top Model" finalist Nik Pace's child, and that Pace is now suing Edwards for as much as $70,000 in monthly child support payments.

According to the article, when Pace gave birth in July, the Jets receiver filed to be recognized as the father in Georgia, where the child was born. Pace responded by suing Edwards in New York, with her lawyer Raoul Felder claiming that the Georgia filing was a "cold, calculated act to pay less money" because Georgia is "traditionally less generous with child support payments." The Post has more.

Edwards was unexpectedly traded from Cleveland to New York in October, and he has since memorably dropped a pass after it bounced off his face mask. The Jets host the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Jennifer Jones, Postwar Actress, Dies at 90

Jennifer Jones, who achieved Hollywood stardom in the postwar years in “The Song of Bernadette” and other films while gaining almost as much attention for a tumultuous personal life, died Thursday at her home in Malibu, Calif. She was 90.
Ms. Jones, who was chairwoman of the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, Calif., died of natural causes, said Leslie Denk, a museum spokeswoman. Ms. Jones was the widow of the industrialist and art patron Norton Simon.

After winning an Academy Award for her performance in “The Song of Bernadette,” Ms. Jones went on to star in successful films like “Love Is a Many Splendored Thing” and “Duel in the Sun.” She was nominated for Oscars five times.

She was also known for an off-screen life that included bouts of emotional instability; an early marriage to the Svengali-like David O. Selznick, the producer of “Gone With the Wind”; the suicide of their daughter; and a later marriage to another larger-than-life figure, Mr. Simon.

It was Selznick who gave Ms. Jones the role of Bernadette Soubirous, the young French peasant girl whose visions at Lourdes created a sensation in 1858. “The Song of Bernadette,” based on Franz Werfel’s best-selling novel, was a huge hit, and it brought the little-known Ms. Jones instant fame.

“After that first big role, there was a kind of stage fright,” Ms. Jones said in 1981. She told another interviewer: “When you’re young, you’re full of hope and dreams. Later you begin to wonder. I did ‘The Song of Bernadette’ without knowing what was going on half the time.”

When she made “Bernadette,” Ms. Jones was married to the rising young actor Robert Walker and the mother of two small boys. She and her husband had met as students at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York in 1938 and married a year later. They had struggled together until Selznick put Ms. Jones under personal contract in 1941. A year later, Mr. Walker was signed by MGM and had a star-making debut as the young sailor in “Bataan.”

But the marriage didn’t last; they separated in the fall of 1943, and by then Ms. Jones was deeply involved with Selznick. Seventeen years her senior, he would be the mastermind of her career.

Selznick’s wife, Irene, the daughter of the movie mogul Louis B. Mayer, left him in 1945, in part over his affair with Ms. Jones. David Thomson, in his biography of Selznick, “Showman,” said Selznick had found something special in Ms. Jones. “She was so meek, so young, so lovely, so entirely ready to be David’s creation that she left all the responsibility with him,” Mr. Thomson wrote.

Ms. Jones and Selznick were married in 1949 on a yacht off the coast of Italy. Until his death in 1965, he made virtually all the decisions in his wife’s career. He supervised her dramatic training and produced many of her early movies, including “Since You Went Away” (1944), “Duel in the Sun” (1947), “Portrait of Jenny” (1948) and a lavish version, the second, of Ernest Hemingway’s “Farewell to Arms” (1957). The film, which also starred Rock Hudson, was a critical and box-office failure and the last movie Selznick made.

When Selznick lent his wife out to other producers, he often chose badly — turning down the classic film noir ”Laura,” for example, or insisting that she star as the mentally ill Nicole Diver in the film version of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “Tender Is the Night” when she was both too old for the role and in precarious mental health herself.

Ms. Jones never set her own course. Though her roles expanded — from the country girl Bernadette to the passionate half-caste young woman lusting after Gregory Peck in “Duel in the Sun” to the wealthy adultress of Vittorio De Sica’s “Indiscretions of an American Wife” (1954) — the screen image was always as molded by Selznick.

But her acting was admired. She received Oscar nominations as best actress for her performances as an amnesiac cured by Joseph Cotten’s love in “Love Letters” (1945), as the wanton Pearl Chavez in “Duel in the Sun” and as a Eurasian doctor in love with a Korean War correspondent (William Holden) in “Love Is a Many Splendored Thing” (1955).

Ms. Jones was born Phyllis Lee Isley in Tulsa, Okla., on March 2, 1919, the only child of Philip and Flora Mae Isley. Her parents owned and starred in the Isley Stock Company, a tent-show theatrical troupe that toured the rural Midwest. As a child she spent her summers taking tickets, selling candy and acting in the company.

After a year at Northwestern University, she moved to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she was cast as Elizabeth Barrett opposite Robert Walker’s Robert Browning in “The Barretts of Wimpole Street.” The two soon married, and on their honeymoon in 1939 they went to Hollywood, where they found bit roles. Ms. Jones, as Phyllis Isley, appeared in a western, “New Frontier,” and a serial, “Dick Tracy’s G-Men.”

Retreating back to New York, the couple had a son, Robert Jr., in 1940, and another, Michael, less than a year later. Michael died in 2007. Robert survives her, as do eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ms. Jones met David O. Selznick in New York when she went to his office there to read for the lead in “Claudia,” Rose Franken’s hit stage play, which Selznick was turning into a movie. The “Claudia” role went to Dorothy McGuire, who had starred in the play, but Selznick, who had by then triumphed with “Gone With the Wind,” was taken by the lithe, dark-haired Ms. Jones and saw a future for her in Hollywood. (He came up with the name Jennifer Jones during that first encounter.)

Ambitious but emotionally fragile, Ms. Jones placed herself in Selznick’s hands. He cast her in a William Saroyan play, “Hello Out There,” in a theater season he was presenting in Santa Barbara, Calif., and she received rave reviews. He was already planning to lend her to his brother-in-law, the producer Bill Goetz, at 20th Century Fox, for “Song of Bernadette.”

After “Bernadette,” Selznick cast her as Claudette Colbert’s daughter in “Since You Went Away,” his attempt to make a “Gone With the Wind” about the World War II home front. Ms. Jones was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar as the girl whose first love is a young soldier.

Although Ms. Jones and Mr. Walker were estranged, Selznick cast Mr. Walker as the fearful soldier who is strengthened by Ms. Jones’s love. The couple divorced in 1945. Mr. Walker, who later scored a success as the villain in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Strangers on a Train,” died at age 32 in 1951 after years of emotional problems and excessive drinking, which he attributed to his loss of Ms. Jones.

Among Ms. Jones’s other movies were the comedy “Cluny Brown” (1946), directed by Ernst Lubisch; “Carrie” (1952), a film version of Theodore Dreiser’s novel “Sister Carrie” co-starring Laurence Olivier; John Huston’s “Beat the Devil” (1954), a film noir parody that failed at the box-office but later found a cult following; “Madame Bovary” (1949); and “Ruby Gentry (1952), a King Vidor film with Charlton Heston about destructive passions reminiscent of “Duel in the Sun.”

After Selznick’s death in 1965, Ms. Jones’s film career petered out in “The Idol” (1966), about a young man sleeping with the mother of his girlfriend; the low- budget “Angel, Angel, Down We Go” (1969); and the ensemble disaster movie “The Towering Inferno” (1974). In 1968 she made a rare stage appearance, in a revival of Clifford Odets’s “Country Girl” at New York City Center.

The year before, Ms. Jones made headlines when she swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills and was discovered, near death, lying in the surf at Malibu. In 1976, on Mother’s Day, Ms. Jones’s 21- year-old daughter, Mary Jennifer Selznick, jumped to her death from a building in West Los Angeles.

Ms. Jones married another powerful man, the industrialist Norton Simon, in 1971, in a ceremony on a yacht in the English Channel after a courtship of three weeks. Mr. Simon, who had turned a bankrupt orange juice bottling plant into a conglomerate that included Hunt Foods and Canada Dry, had retired in 1969 at 62 to concentrate on collecting art.

He spent more than $100 million on his collection, one of the country’s greatest private art collections, housed at the Norton Simon Musuem.

After being stricken by the paralyzing neurological disorder Guillain-Barre syndrome, Mr. Simon resigned as president of the museum and was succeeded by Ms. Jones, who also took the title of chairwoman. She oversaw a gallery renovation by the architect Frank Gehry. Mr. Simon died in 1993 at age 86.

Throughout her life Ms. Jones appeared shy and aloof in public, and she rarely gave interviews. She explained why in one of the few she did give, to a reporter in 1957.

“Most interviewers probe and pry into your personal life, and I just don’t like it,” she said. “I respect everyone’s right to privacy, and I feel mine should be respected, too.”

DEAR REV. GRAHAM: Our son came home from college for Thanksgiving, and when we got ready to go to church, he said he wasn't going because he didn't believe in God anymore. What's happened to him? This has stunned us. —J.M.
Dear J.M.: We sometimes forget that most new college students are away from home for the first time, and their newfound independence can throw them off balance before they realize it. They find it exhilarating to cast aside old beliefs and adopt new ones, just as your son has done.
The problem is that they usually don't have the ability to evaluate new ideas carefully and critically. Nor do they realize that they don't embrace such ideas because they're logical, but just to prove their independence. Unfortunately, on many campuses it's popular to reject the past, and some professors take delight in encouraging this. I wish churches did more to prepare young people for the challenges they'll face in college, both inside and outside the classroom.
What can you do? First, let your son know you love him, regardless of what he claims to believe (or not believe). Then challenge him not to accept any idea because it's fashionable on his campus, but to have the courage to examine his beliefs. You probably can't answer all his questions — but others can, and he needs to know this. Your pastor or local Christian bookstore may have some suggestions.
Then pray for your son, that he will see the emptiness and hopelessness of atheism, and realize that God not only is real, but that He also loves him and wants your son to know Him. Then urge him to give his life to Christ, for only in Him "are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"

Lesbian Annise Parker Wins Houston Mayoral Election!

Houston's first openly-gay elected official Annise Parker (D) has just become the first lesbian mayor of a major US city. The former City Controller beat former City Attorney Gene Locke (D) in a long awaited run-off election, today.

Although both candidates are Democrats, Parker was popular with voters because she has over 20 years of experience in politics and has a financial plan that, many believe, can help Houston in this difficult economic climate.

Unfortunately, Parker was subjected to numerous homophobic remarks during her candidacy. Conservative activist Steven Hotze sent out a mailer telling voters they should vote for Locke because Parker was endorsed by Houston's GLBT Caucus. Locke drew criticism for seeking the endorsement of Hotze, who is notorious for being anti-gay.

Adam Sandler's 'Hanukkah Song' takes center stage

When you think of classic holiday songs, "Jingle Bell Rock," "White Christmas" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" come to mind.

But one of the most popular holiday songs has nothing to do with snowmen, reindeer, trees or even jolly ol' St. Nick himself.

Comedian/actor Adam Sandler's seasonal favorite, "The Hanukkah Song," is a hilarious roll call of Jewish actors and actresses that remains a favorite of holiday partygoers everywhere.

Marcia: There aren't too many catchy Hanukkah songs I've heard. In fact, this is the only one I've ever heard. I think it really raised religious tolerance when we heard of all the cool people who are Jewish like David Lee Roth, Arthur Fonzerelli and my favorite, Paul Newman and Goldie Hawn, both half-Jewish. In the words of Sandler, "Put them together, what a fine-looking Jew!"

Dustin: Same here. I really can't name another Hanukkah song off the top of my head. Sandler's goofball charm comes through here in the way he rhymes all the celebrities together.

Marcia: I agree, he is charming in a goofy way, definitely not a rock and roll superstar in the musical sense.

Dustin: A rock superstar he is not. This was the time when Sandler's film choices weren't questionable; when he could get away with making hilarious, though somewhat juvenile, comedies like "Billy Madison" and "Happy Gilmore." Now, not so much.

Marcia: This song did translate into an animated movie, "Eight Crazy Nights," in 2002. I wish it hadn't. Sandler looked OK animated, but most of the other characters were really nasty looking and not in a funny way.

Dustin: Movie aside, this is a great tune. And you don't necessarily have to be Jewish to appreciate it.

Marcia: I doubt gin and tonics and marijuanakkah are part of the Hanukkah tradition. They probably are part of Sandler's tradition, I guess.

Mischa Barton prefers kissing girls.

The former The O.C. actress finds it easier to relax during lesbian scenes for her film and TV shows because there is none of the tension that can build up when she has to get romantic on camera with members of the opposite sex.

Mischa, 23, said of her lesbian roles: "I don't know why that keeps coming up. It doesn't annoy me that much. It's so much easier to kiss another girl. You're so much more relaxed filming and you can have a laugh. It can get a bit tense with a guy."

Mischa Barton's love scenes with other girls include in The O.C., where her character, Marissa Cooper, had a relationship with Alex Kelly, played by Olivia Wilde and in TV series Once and Again, where she was pictured kissing Evan Rachel Wood.

She also famously starred in 2008 film You and I, about two teenage girls, and American and a Russian, how fall in love after meeting at a concert by faux lesbian Russian girl band t.A.T.u and subsequently get caught up in an underworld of drugs and murder.

The Beautiful Life star recently revealed she had never had her heart broken.

She said: "I've never been dumped. One tried to make it quite mutual though so that felt as close to dumping as I've got. I kind of lost it and was like, 'You are not turning this on me. I dumped you first.'

"I felt like my heart was broken at the end of a couple of relationships but it wasn't really."

Tiger Woods ambulance update: 911 call came from Woods' home

An update in the Tiger Woods ambulance to hospital story: the 911 call that one Fire Department spokesperson told TMZ.com came from Woods home and then backed off on the report, then another source claimed came from another residence in the area is confirmed to have come from Tiger Woods home.

UPDATE: WESH Orlando TV newscast video

And while that was going on, Jaimie Grubbs, another alleged mistress of Tiger Woods, is revealing just how much she hates men. According to Radar Online.com, Grubbs said that "boys" were "like toys" to her.

Jaimie Grubbs is not showing a good side of herself and the media's not helping her cover it up. The public news is that she worked or works in a medical marijuana store and was arrested for shop lifting. But what's more terrible is that Jaimie Grubbs opens up and first allegedly sells a voicemail of a person said to be Woods to US Weekly for $150,000, then uses an affair that's obviously contributing to the emotional harm of the Woods family to develop her own fame.

Tiger Woods' wife moves out

Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Woods, has reportedly moved out of the couple’s Florida home and is living with friends nearby, according to Radar Online.

But good Woods source explained it to me today, ‘‘Elin has been taking a bit of a break, but Tiger and his team are still hopeful she won’t leave permanently.”
Meanwhile, even though Woods’ lifelong best pal Bryon Bell and his fiancee still want the scandal-plagued golfer to be best man for their South Carolina wedding next weekend, I’m hearing Woods is hesitant — worried the couple’s big day will be overshadowed by the media maelstrom that you know will swarm all over that ceremony.

Tiger Woods, The View's most popular "Hot Topic" of the month, has now been linked to porn star Holly Sampson. The British scandal rag The Daily Telegraph has stated that star of pornographic films and websites Holly Sampson refuses to deny their allegations of an ongoing sexual relationship with Tiger Woods.

Holly Sampson is now the 7th woman to be outed by tabloid media as Tiger Woods' scroll of mistresses continues to unfurl, and potentially the most controversial. The 36-year-old is a hardcore pornographic actress who has an extensive gallery of video and still pornography performing all manner of sexual acts. Among Sampson's body of pornographic work includes photo series entitled "Unlimited MILFS" and "Cougars in Heat" and "Sperm Dumpster".

Although The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg has stated that she's "bored" with continuing to discuss Tiger Woods, the ladies will be hard pressed to avoid the topic completely on Monday morning. Tiger Woods sexual transgressions are now being reframed as perversions, and the American public just can't seem to get enough of it. The View's Voice-of-Relative-Reason Joy Behar stated on a recent episode of The View that Americans are "obsessed with pornography".

Check on some of the non-explicit photos of Tiger Woods' eighth mistress Holly Sampson below and then vote in the poll, then tune in to The View on ABC on Monday morning to hear how the coven deals with the latest Tiger Woods news.
