Kristi Noem at Republican Ambassadors

There was a great crowd of around 200 people at the Republican Ambassadors Luncheon today at the Holiday Inn in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Several distinguished visitors and speakers were on hand as well. South Dakota Governor-elect Dennis Daugaard was there with his wife Linda. South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley was also present. Congresswoman-elect Kristi Noem was there with her husband Bryon and all their children. Additionally, most Black Hills area Republican legislators who won re-election last night were also in attendance.

Below is a slideshow of some photos from the event, as well as a video clip from the end of Noem’s speech. In it, she talked about what she plans to do in Washington: promoting a small and limited government, cutting spending to get it under control, promote personal responsibility and wise decisions.

“Common sense,” she said, “Is what we need to get this country back on track.”

She said she did not take the responsibility lightly that the people of South Dakota had given her, and that she looked forward to being their voice in Washington, thanking them for their trust in her.

It’s no wonder she was endorsed by Tea Party people in South Dakota. And we’ll be watching to ensure that our favorite new congresswoman doesn’t get “Potomac Fever.”
