Marie Osmond recently revealed in “The Oprah Winfrey Show” the details about her son’s death.

Michael Bryan, Marie Osmond’s son had committed suicide eight months ago and there were rumors that one of the reasons for his suicide was because of his sexuality. Marie Osmond denied this rumor stating that “My son was not gay. He wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world. And it wouldn’t matter if he was. I have a daughter who is gay, and it was my daughter who was offended by it, like, ‘What? All gay kids commit suicide?’ She really wanted it cleared up.” She then told Oprah that her son was suffering from depression and drug abuse ever since he was 12 because of his difficult childhood. Marie Osmond’s son was found dead 8 months ago as he jumped from the 8th floor of an apartment building in Los Angeles. The coroner ruled out the death as suicide.

After the death of his son, she returned to work within a couple of weeks because she could find solace in the stage. She also mentioned in the talk show that “I know that if I didn’t get back on stage, that I may never get back on stage.”
