Whether or not Nancy Pelosi will serve the term she won during the election results in California is another question. Last night, the GOP took control of the House of Representatives, and Pelosi is expected to pass the torch to John Boehner, who was the House Minority leader.

Boehner, the incumbent from a district in Ohio, gave a very emotional victory speech. It's not certain whether or not Pelosi will head back for another term, as when speakers of the House get ousted they typically bow out of politics.

Pelosi's downfall was the healthcare reform. Amid strong opposition from the American people, Pelosi still lead the way for its passage in the house. After that, the entire country joined together and raised money to oust Pelosi from her post.
