Several Hindu sects have expressed their disappointment and outrage after a recent video was released featuring Sara Jean Underwood of naked yoga poses. This has infuriated Hindu elders a great deal as they think it’s a cheap attempt to commercialise an ancient practice just for mercantile profit.
Sara Jean Underwood became the Playmate of the Year for the month of June in 2007. Previously she also had the title of Playmate of the Month, but this recent video is creating much controversy as protests have come up from all Indian Hindu quarters. The holy men from India believe yoga is their age old tradition and they have worked all their lives to reveal their real divine nature. This anger was also evident in the words of Rajan Zed, president of the Universal Society of Hinduism who even urged Playboy to withdraw all the videos that have been released. He reflected the sentiments of the Hindus who have been very upset with this video and feel it as a misuse of the practice of yoga.
India is believed to be the mother of this art and so have firmly responded to the loss of spirituality that has been caused by the video.
