Famous country crooner Miranda Lambert is a huge inspiration for those, who have little or nothing to start with. The once homeless woman talks about her deranged childhood and moving life story that inspired her to be something.
She spoke to Robin Roberts in one of his programs about her side of the story. By the way, Lambert is headed towards her 27th birthday celebration and a night of Country Music Awards, with a record 9 nominations to back her up.
To her, the nominations are a big deal; it’s a history in making that took a long time. She told Roberts, “Sometimes when I’ll be up to my neck with all the fame game, I’ll jot down excerpts of my life on a paper. It’ll be something worth reading.”
Miranda Lambert grew up in Rural Texas, that’s the kind of place that used to be filled up with unusual characters 26 years back. She had a unique upbringing; her parents were both private investigators, not the highly popular ones. Most of the times, they all had to struggle to pay the bills, a life that was crazy and unshuttering for her.
At the age of 6, the Lamberts were kicked out of the house. The banker took away the keys; damn he always does that whenever you fall behind house payments.
From then onwards, the family had to seek refuge at their relatives. You know how relatives are, and for Lamberts it didn’t turn out any good. Finally, they got a stale piece of land and a reeky house that needed a little bit of fixing to do.
“Some of the windows were boarded up, and we never did get central heat,” Lambert recalled, laughing. “So when you had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you had to run, because it was freezing!”
