Ohio - One of four people from an Ohio missing persons case has been rescued in good condition and her captor has been taken into custody. That suspect has a criminal record with a conviction for arson in Steamboat Springs back in 2000.

Sarah Maynard, 13, was found bound and gagged in a basement in Mount Vernon, Ohio, about ten miles from her home. Police believe she was under the control of 30-year-old Matthew Hoffman since Wednesday.

Hoffman has been arrested and charged with one count of kidnapping, although other charges could be filed as the investigation continues. Sarah's mother, her younger brother, and a friend of the family are still missing. Police hope Hoffman will help find them.

"As far as knowing the family, we're uncertain whether he knew them or they knew him. It's obvious that he found his way to her and to their home," Knox County Sheriff David Barber said.

Barber says he is not an ex-boyfriend of either woman, and he believes Hoffman can lead them to the other three people missing.

Barber also says reports that a body bag was taken from Hoffman's home are completely false.
