Joseph Wiseman has died at the age of 91 years. He was a good actor and famous for his role of Dr. No in the first James Bond film. He was born in 15th may 1918 and moved to United States with his family. He started his career while he was a teenager.
His daughter Martha Graham Wiseman told the associated press that he was having poor health and died on Monday at his home at Manhattan. She said “Stage acting was what he wanted to be remembered for,”
He was a good screen and stage actor. His work includes “Detective Story” (1951) and “The Unforgiven” (1960). He was also good in guest roles in TV programs. His special work includes “Law & Order,” “The Streets of San Francisco,” “The Twilight Zone” and “The Untouchables,” He actually got fame from his role in “Dr. No,” the first film of James Bond series.
He worked in many films during 1950’s. His last film was in 1988 but his TV career didn’t end with that. He had long and successful career in theater. In 1938 he appeared first time in his Broadway play. ‘Judgment at Nuremberg’ was his last play of stage performance in 2001.His second wife Pearl Lang was a choreographer. She died in February.
