50 Cent weight loss pictures show scary skinny actor, writer of Things Fall Apart movie
The pictures of 50 Cent’s weight loss were posted on ThisIs50.com Wednesday at noon – and within a few hours, news of 50 Cent’s shocking and scary-looking weight loss had traveled the web and back again.

People are so surprised by the pictures of a skeletal-faced looking 50 Cent, some are busy debating whether the photos were Photoshopped and fake or really 50 Cent and real.
But the weight loss appears to be real and not a Photoshopped hoax -- and all for a starring turn as "Deon" in the movie called Things Fall Apart -- named after the famous book, a title The Roots used for their popular song as well.

“50 Cent lost a lot of weight for his upcoming movie Things Fall Apart," reads the text between the pictures of 50 Cent, which goes on to describe the dangerous-sounding diet 50 Cent underwent to lose weight.

“In the movie 50 Cent plays a football player diagnosed with cancer. He dropped from 214 pounds to an astonishing 160 with a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill walks for nine weeks.”

Other sites claim that 50 Cent drank some kind of icee concoction, with Thisis50.com quoting the artist, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, as saying: "I was starving."

But now that he’s back on tour, 50 says: "I've been eating. I'll be back in shape in no time!"

IMDB lists 50 Cent as one of the writers of the Things Fall Apart screenplay – one of several movies 50 is given writing credits for, including The Ski Mask Way – a title rap fans recognize from a popular lyric in a Biggie songs.

For those who enjoyed the actor’s role as himself in 2005’s Get Rich or Die Tryin' as Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, it’s fascinating to see just how far he is going for his craft.

Not much info goes into details about the plot of Things Fall Apart other than articles like this one in Variety, which bespeak of the newfound passion 50 Cent has for acting, and his obvious dedication to the craft.
Seems odd that he’s playing a senior in college, unless the 34-year-old is flashing back to the time when his character developed cancer, or some such other film-making device.
With 50 Cent’s money backing the Mario Van Peebles-directed venture, here’s hoping the script is amazing – and that the distribution gets him on some screen to show off that weight loss dedication and heart-breaking role.
