Jordan Romero, 13, look for this weekend to become the youngest climber to reach the summit of Mount Everest. Jordan Romero reached base camp to camp 1 and is now expected to spend the winds to move forward. Camp 1 is on 7010 meters high and the summit of Mount Everest at 8850 meters.

“I’m more happy than nervous. I feel very good. The breathing is very difficult here, but I’m definitely moving a little slower, ” Romero said through his satellite phone from a tent in Nepal.

Jordan Romero climbed the highest peaks on six continents and hopes to reach the highest in the world, but it all depends on weather conditions. The Mount Everest challenge will be his first above 8,000 meters.
Remember that the youngest person who have climbed Mount Everest is Temba Tsheri from Nepal , who reached the summit at 16 years.
