Jeremy Davidson, the real guy behind Army Wives’ hunk Chase Morgan, let it slip that his character might not be around all season. He also told E! Online that his wife Mary Stuart Masterson, is four months along with twins. They already have a son (age 17 months according to People), so it seems to me to be a really rotten time for Davidson to be out of a steady job! He’s about to have his family nearly double in size…so a regular paycheck would be helpful.
Davidson told E! that “balancing career and family is becoming increasingly challenging” for him. His wife and son are in Brooklyn, so he is definitely going to want to be home a lot more in about another..oh..say four or five months.
It has not been confirmed yet that Davidson’s character is leaving the show, but in his interview with E! Davidson kept talking about the character in past tense, and he said specifically “there is something very significant that happens with Chase in the course of the season.” When pressed for details, he would only say “I guess…how long Chase is around. That’s probably all I can really say.”

Tyler has been playing abroad in Israel for three months now, after he de-committed from Louisville and skipped out on his senior season at San Diego High. Yeah, we thought the prom was pretty lame too.

The big man is quite homesick. So much so that even his girlfriend who followed him there, the daughter of late rapper Eazy-E, is sometimes left to wipe his tears away after a bad day at the gym.

It sounds sad, but I don't feel bad for Tyler. When it was initially reported he was doing the unthinkable by deciding to play overseas despite not even being old enough to buy a pack of Marlboro Reds, it was done with a dose of arrogance. Unfortunately that ego seems to still be part of his make up despite being humbled from his new environment, according to Thamel.

Tyler complained that Haifa had failed to fulfill promises. He said that the driver the team provided did not want to take him anywhere and that the apartment he was given was dim and sparse, with a hallway light that hung by a wire from the ceiling.

Yes, current Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings appears to be assimilating himself nicely to the NBA game, so maybe Tyler will ultimately benefit from this experience in a way that no big time college program could offer. But as of now he just looks like a whiner and a whimp, and NBA scouts are likely taking note.

Now, Mayfield is talking on camera about the entire affair; he'll be on ESPN's Outside The Lines this Sunday at 9 a.m. to discuss everything that's happened to him since he qualified for Daytona way back in February. You've read and heard plenty about the Mayfield saga -- here it is, presented in verse and music -- but for most people, this will be the first chance to look in Mayfield's eyes and decide for themselves whether he's telling the truth.
Mayfield, as you no doubt know, was suspended in May by NASCAR for testing positive for methamphetamine. He charged that the test was a false positive stemming from his use of prescription medication Claritin-D and Adderall. His suspension was lifted later in the summer, but almost immediately afterward, he tested positive again. In the course of the affair, he's traded shots with his stepmother, accusing her of being complicit in the death of Mayfield's father.
Now, with hope for resuming his NASCAR career gone, Mayfield is apparently determined to take some people down with him. According to ESPN, Mayfield claims that "NASCAR is using his situation to scare the sport's marquee drivers who he says use drugs, such as marijuana and cocaine."
"You use me as an example to let everybody know who may have already tested positive for marijuana, cocaine or whatever, that they haven't got anybody for, and it puts the fear of God in everybody in the whole sport," Mayfield says. "I was a good example, a good pawn who wasn't going to cost them any money at all. I was worth more to them as a failed drug test then I am as a driver, owner for my own team."
However, it's not a pity party for Mayfield. When asked whether the combination of Adderall and Claritin-D could cause a false positive for meth, Dr. Anthony Butch, director of the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory and an experienced hand with drug testing, flat-out stated, "No, they could never be confused for methamphetamine in a confirmation."
