Lady Gaga, who came under fire recently for wearing a meat bikini on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan, wore a raw meat dress at last night's VMAs. It was one of many outfits she wore throughout the night.
A teary-eyed Gaga accepted a Moon Man award for Video of the Year for Bad Romance - one of eight of the night for her - from Cher (wearing a vintage MTV outfit), was again wearing meat.

Ellen DeGeneres, who is a vegan, taped the season opener of her show last night at the Nokia Theater and asked Gaga about the dress for an interview airing today.
"Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth," said Gaga. "However, it has many interpretations but for me this evening. If we don't stand up for what we believe in and if we don't fight for our rights pretty soon we're going to have as much rights as the meat on our own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat."
Ellen then presented her with a veggie bikini and suggested she try that next time she wants to make a statement.

She indeed is a performer of great versatility. It all started with a piano tune of “Bad Romance” and quickly, she changed the pace to the tune of “Alejandro”. That is very artistic and one of her unique trademark in performing. Everyone seemed to enjoy having this lady in the 5th of May American Idol. All the viewers were focused and holding their breaths on what this lady will come up next.
Not only the way she sings, plays piano and move within the stage are the most noticeable of all with this performer, but also, her Armani made costume for that day, sexy, unique and interesting, and her stiletto boots made her aura and the whole stage a moment of great fun and party.

You’d be pretty surprised, but Lady Gaga was pretty vanilla at one point. Now two photos from her high school yearbook have appeared. One is a teen aged Gaga, who then was still going by Stefani Germanotta (watch a video of her before the glitz and the glam here), the other photo is Germanotta as a child before a piano. Both photos come from the 2004 Convent of the Sacred Heart School yearbook.
Personally, I think Germanotta looked much better before all the gimmicks. I’m probably one of the few people who dislikes Lady Gaga, but I’d be more impressed if she had a little less style and a little more substance. I know that will probably piss a few people off, but I just feel she is a very clever product of marketing. Kudos for her for figuring out a gimmick that works. Only time will tell if it will last over time.
