A New Zealand actor has been crowned Prince William in an upcoming film about the royal and his soon-to-be queen, Kate.

Nico Evers-Swindell will play the Prince in the US small-screen movie titled William and Kate.

American TV network Lifetime says the new series depicts the "ups and downs of their nine-year courtship complicated by social and royal family pressures and intense global media attention surrounding their storybook nuptials".

Evers-Swindell is a former student of Victoria University in Wellington.

Now based in New York, he has played small roles in a number of American television series including NCIS and Law & Order.

Photos of the new Wills were splashed across news and gossip websites yesterday and showed Evers-Swindell as almost a dead ringer for the future king.

Many bloggers were commenting on the Kiwi actor's good looks, with one on a British site saying, "The Prince should be quite proud of the actor selected to portray him. New Zealand-born performer Nico Evers-Swindell is a right bit of hottie."
Another website was running a poll asking: "Who's hotter?"

At one stage Prince William was at 6.3 per cent, with 29 votes, while Evers-Swindell was on 89.1 per cent with 402 votes.

Others said it was too close to call.

On New Zealand media and gossip websites, many were asking whether the Kiwi Wills was a relative of rowing champs Caroline and Georgina Evers-Swindell, now known as Georgina Earl and Caroline Meyer.

Meyer yesterday confirmed to the Weekend Herald that - despite some reports calling Nico their younger brother - he is in fact a cousin.

"No, not little brother, he's my cousin ... I can't claim him as a brother," she laughed.

Meyer said Nico's scoring the role as Prince William was "very cool".

Becker confirmed, by statement, that his Department received a 911 call at 1:15 PM Sunday of an “unresponsive person”. Becker would not confirm who made the phone call, whether Martin had been alone in the home, or how long after her death was the matter reported to police. Becker confirmed, that upon arrival, officers found Martin dead.

August Busch IV, who is 46, was reportedly dating Martin, 27, claims the Post Dispatch. But Busch has yet to issue a statement about his own reported girlfriend’s passing.

Rather his attorney Art Margulis, who does criminal defense cases, spoke about Martin’s passing stating “I can tell you there is absolutely nothing suspicious about her passing, and it’s a tragic and untimely death of a young person. A very kind young person, by the way.” Margulis did not state if his client was in the home with Martin, nor why his client has yet to comment about the death of someone he was reportedly dating.

Both Martin and Busch are single.

While Margulis says Martin’s death was not suspicious, Margulis doesn’t indicate if he actually knows Martin’s cause of death. If he does, he didn’t tell news today about it.

Suzanne McCune, administrator of the medical examiner’s office, says she doesn’t know the cause of death. There was no evidence of illness nor trauma says McCune. The Post Dispatch
says a “law enforcement source” reported that “the death was initially being investigated as a possible overdose.”

Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, who provided Smith with painkillers including Vicodin, was acquitted of charges that he had prescribed excessive drugs to an addict.

"This is not just a victory for me, but for patients everywhere who suffer chronic pain," said Kapoor outside the courthouse.

Stern was acquitted of seven of the 11 charges originally lodged against him. Sentencing likely won't happen until January.
