The Beach Boys are doing their part to help the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan last month. Al Jardine, Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston recorded a vinyl single that features version of the song "Don't Fight the Sea," which originally appears on Jardine's A Postcard From California.

The flip side is an a capella mix from the 1968 Beach Boys tune "Friends." The release is available today and all proceeds will go to the Red Cross Japan Relief.

What have you done to help the good people of Japan in their hour of need?

Billy Madisonstarred Adam Sandler, Bridgette Wilson, Darren McGavin, Bradley Whitford and Josh Mostel. For Adam Sandler fans only, this dopey comedy features the former Saturday Night Live star as an over indulged rich guy whose father insists he repeat grades 1 through 12 before taking over the family business.
The scenario is perfect for Sandler’s infantile leanings (which he has fortunately outgrown in more recent movies), and for the most part the jokes about being too old and too big for the experiment are obvious.
Chris Farley and Steve Buscemi turn up in uncredited cameo appearances, but otherwise the film is pretty dismissible, except for those diehard’s who can’t get enough of Sandler.
The film earned poor reviews upon release, with the Los Angeles Times stating ” “Sandler has a bad habit of thinking he is funnier than we do”. In At the Movies, Siskel and Ebert gave the film a bad review, and said of Sandler “Not an attractive screen presence, he might have a career as a villain or a fall guy or the butt of a joke, but as the protagonist his problem is he creates the fingernails on the blackboard”.

Actor Patrick Wilson made a splash Monday night when he starred in The Normal Heart for the play’s 25th anniversary reading. The Normal Heart is considered groundbreaking for its in-depth portrayal of the AIDS epidemic. The touching story is a modern classic, according to those who celebrated its anniversary with Patrick Wilson at the helm.
“Young men are living on these HIV drugs for a long, long time,” noted Joel Grey, who appeared in the original run of The Normal Heart. “However, the youngsters think that nothing will happen to them, and they’re not practicing safe sex, so it’s very scary.”
In addition to Patrick Wilson, Glenn Close appeared in the anniversary reading.
