Lindsay Lohan might have pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft in court yesterday for lifting a pricy necklace, but looks like she may be guilty of an even more fashionable crime—her outfit. The actress created some buzz yesterday when she showed up for her court appearance in Los Angeles wearing a tight white minidress reminiscent of something one might wear for a night on the town, pairing the bare-legged look with patent pumps and superstar shades. Although Lindsay did choose a clothing color that is traditionally associated with innocence, the short, curve-hugging style may not have been the most professional-looking option for the occasion. Tell us: Was Lindsay Lohan’s outfit appropriate for a courtroom?

Lindsay Lohan is back on the outside.

Having this routine down to a science by now, she wasted no time in posting $40,000 bail with the help of a bondsman and was driven away from Los Angeles Superior Court's Airport Courthouse in a black SUV.

The whole process took about an hour. So now what?

RELATED: Was Lindsay's Courthouse Dress a Fashion Misdemeanor?

Lohan pleaded not guilty earlier today to a felony count of grand theft stemming from accusations that she walked out of a Venice, Calif., jewelry store with a $2,500 necklace that she hadn't paid for in tow.

Her lawyer has argued that Lohan left the store with the piece, mistakenly thinking it was on loan. It was returned after the store complained.

She's due back in court for Feb. 23. In addition to a maximum three years in prison for the theft charge, Lohan could be looking at jail time for possibly violating her probation from her 2007 DUI cases, which isn't set to expire until Aug. 11.

Less than an hour after hitting the road, Lohan was checking her Twitter account, responding to a concerned-sounding tweet from Celebrity Rehab establisher Dr. Drew Pinsky. (Oddly, her first apparent tweet was a link to a photo of her and Kanye West, taken Feb. 4 at a dinner party for designer Giuseppe Zanotti, but that disappeared a few moments later.)

So what did the celebrity Twitterverse have to say about the embattled star.

"That lindsay lohan necklace is one crummy looking piece of jewelry for twenty five hundred. can barely see it," quipped Howard Stern, a relative Twitter newcomer, having just signed up last week. "Felony grand theft? I would get an appraisal on that piece of junk."

"I am mortified how @Lindsaylohan is getting attacked when she is so fragile and just establishing her sobriety. Not at all what she needs," read the more serious tweet from Pinsky.

Lilo fans can breathe a sigh of relief, the actress is fine. Well, all things considered. According to the Prison Planet and Infowars.com websites, she is being poisoned, along with 300 million other Americans. The trend is a publicity stunt to direct people to a video about the dangers of Bisphenol A, sodium fluoride and other dangers in prescription drugs (Lindsay is on Adderall, which is why her name is used).
The website even instructs its readers to “grab the search term ‘Lindsay Lohan Poisoned’ and push it up to the top of Google’s search trends chart.” It seems to be working.

An online publication Earsucker posted that Lohan had died due to an overdose of crack cocaine and of course Twitter was a buzz with questions trying to figure out if the rumor was true.

Kim Kardashian tweeted, “Omg!! Is @lindsaylohan dead?! I keep hearing these rumors from my friends n stuff!! Is it true?!

In the last number of days some ridiculous rumors have been going around such as Justin Bieber being pregnant and some really very strange claims and about Oprah Winfrey and her toes.

As no one has verified that this horrible news about Lindsay Lohan are true we’ll just have to presume that like past rumors of Sarah Jessica Parker and Tom Cruise’s death this one is just a mean and terrible hoax.

Lindsay Lohan Ankle Bracelet Monitor. Once again actress Lindsay Lohan will be wearing a alcohol monitoring device on her ankle. The alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet, known as a SCRAM device, will monitor Lohan’s perspiration for the presence of alcohol. The device transmits it’s findings to the company that makes it, which will then notify the court or a probation officer if the presence of alcohol is detected.

This is the second time that Lidsay Lohan has had to wear one of these ankle bracelet monitors. The first time was three years ago, after her first DUI arrest. The first time wearing the ankle bracelet was voluntary, this time it is not.

This time, the ankle bracelet is being worn by order of a California judge. Lohan’s attorney assured the judge that Lohan would comply with his orders, but Lohan didn’t seem too enthusiastic. She complained that they device would interfere with her acting and modeling work, but the judge was not interested in negotiating on the matter.

If Lohan fails to comply completely with the judges orders, she could face up to six months in jail.
