Dale Earnhardt Jr. to start on the pole for NASCAR's Bud Shootout

Could it be that the racing gods are smiling on Dale Earnhardt Jr.?
Could it be that NASCAR's most popular driver finally has luck on his side?
Well, starting on the pole for Saturday night's Bud Shootout is a good start.
Junior drew the pole position for the 24-car field in the season-opening exhibition race sponsored by his former sponsor. The lineup for the 75-lap race was determined in a made-for-TV event in which drivers selected bottles of Budweiser with starting positions on the labels.
He'll start alongside Tony Stewart, who drew No. 2. Row 2 will be Carl Edwards and Denny Hamlin. Five-time champion Jimmie Johnson starts 23rd on the back row with Regan Smith.
Of course, where drivers start at a restrictor-plate track doesn't mean a whole lot. A driver at the back of the pack can get hooked up with another car and zoom to the front in nothing flat.
