Interscope Geffen A&M are on fire as they lock up #1, #2 and #3 on this week’s Mediabase Top 40 Chart. Lady Gaga moves to #1 with "Telephone" featuring Beyoncé, while the Black Eyed Peas moves up to #2 with "Imma Be" and Orianthi holds at #3 with "According to You." It’s déjà vu all over again because Interscope has owned the top three Top 40 spots once before. On June 16, 2002, Vanessa Carlton’s "A Thousand Miles," Eminem’s "Without Me" and No Doubt’s "Hella Good" were #1, #2 and #3 for the label. Interscope actually occupies five of this week’s Top 10 spots with Gaga's "Bad Romance" at #7 and "Carry Out" by Timbaland featuring Justin Timberlake at #9. Congrats to the entire Interscope promotion team on this monumental achievement.
"Telephone" also becomes Gaga's sixth straight #1 single, an incredible feat. She also has announced new dates for her revamped Monster's Ball 2010 tour, which will come to North American arenas throughout the summer. The new round of touring begins in Montreal on June 28 and wraps up in Raleigh, NC on September 19.
"It's still called Monster Ball, but it's more of a musical and less of a concert," Lady Gaga said in a February interview with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS/Los Angeles. "It has a New York theme, it's a story, and the story is that me and my friends are in New York and we're going to the Monster Ball, and we get lost."
