Logged on to your Facebook and wondering why all your friends have cartoons in their Facebook profile? Whether they are female cartoon characters or male male cartoon characters, they are all over Facebook!
A social media campaign to raise awareness for violence against children has been encouraging Facebook users to replace their profile pictures with their favorite cartoon images.
“Change your facebook profile picture to a favorite cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. The goal is to not see a human face on facebook by Monday the 6th of December. Join the fight against child abuse!” reads one of the many variants of the viral message.
It appears that the group that started this is grassroots and has no official ties to any group outside of Face book.
