U.S Rep. Hank Johnson suggests Guam will "tip over"

Before March 25 Representative Hank Johnson (D) could boast that he was one of the first Buddhist members to ever serve in Congress. Now, Georgia's fourth District Representative can also brag about his solitary concern of overcrowding in Guam by Marines in their families.
In what appeared painfully long in an Arms Services Committee meeting, Johnson asked Admiral Robert Millard about his concerns. Congressman Johnson told Miller that his biggest fear was "[Guam] will tip over...and capsize". Miller responded to the literal translation of that statement by responding "we do not anticipate that."
Online conservatives and critics have not allowed Johnson to get off so easily. The biggest criticism comes to Johnson about his approach to expressing his concerns. An online source who asked to remain anonymous stated, "[Johnson] actually uses his hands to show what he meant", as you can clearly see in the video footage that the congressman does indeed throw his hands to the left symbolizing something tipping over.
Johnson has responded to the critics by reiterating that he used the statement only as metaphor. "I wasn't suggesting the island would literally tip over", Johnson said via his spokesperson to Jim Galloway from the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Many online lookers simply ask that next time Johnson uses witty comments he should present them with a little more flair.
