Tiesto has issued a statement denying he has died in a car crash. Inernet rumours this morning declared the superstar DJ had been killed in an accident on the Interstate 80 highway in California.

The exact same reports declaring Tiesto had died in a car crash spread around the Internet in September 2006. Writing on his own blog Tiesto said: “It’s nice to read that people care about my life. Tiesto opened the Athens Olympics with a performance in 2004. Tiesto is set to play a huge concert at Victoria Park in London on July 30.
